The Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team concluded the first day of competition tied for third place at the 2025 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships. The opening round took place at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana, on Sunday, April 20. The Eagles scored 3-over-par 301 on the par-72, 6,053-yard course, with two players ranking in the top 15 individually.

Kent State University currently leads with a score of 1-over 289. Bowling Green State University follows in second with 8-over 296. Eastern Michigan shares the third spot with Ohio University, both scoring 301. The University of Akron and Ball State University are tied for fifth with scores of 14-over 302. The Eagles’ score of 301 is their seventh-lowest at the MAC Championships and their second-lowest for a first round, falling just behind the 2016 team, which scored 296.

Savannah de Bock, from Eastern Michigan, is the top individual performer for the team, shooting 1-over 73, which places her in a six-way tie for ninth. Angelica Holman follows closely behind with 2-over 74, tying for 15th place. Other Eagles include Julianna Go, tied for 21st with 3-over 75, Erina Tan, tied for 32nd at 7-over 79, and Mariana Vega, tied for 41st at 9-over 81.

The second round of the MAC Championships will take place on Monday, April 21. Eastern Michigan is scheduled to play in the final groups, alongside Kent State and Bowling Green, starting at 12 p.m.
