The Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team concluded their participation in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Course, finishing 13th among a competitive field that included seven nationally ranked teams. The event took place over two days on a par-72, 6,473-yard course.

Savannah de Bock led the Eastern Michigan players, tying for 47th place with a score of 23-over 239 (78-82-79). As a team, the Eagles scored 112-over 976 (324-324-328). Host team Texas secured victory with a score of 16-over 880 (286-297-297), while Louisiana State University and the University of Arkansas finished second and third, respectively.

Other notable performances from Eastern Michigan included Mariana Vega’s finish at 56th place with a score of 25-over 241 (79-74-88) and Angelica Holman’s tie for 68th at 34-over 250 (81-84-85).

Looking ahead, Eastern Michigan will compete in their penultimate regular season tournament at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee. The Chattanooga Classic is scheduled for March 28-30 and will feature one round each day. Sixteen teams are expected to participate, including four top-ranked teams: North Carolina, Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Duke.
