The Mid-American Conference has announced that 26 student-athletes from Eastern Michigan University’s track and field teams have received All-MAC honors following the 2025 MAC Outdoor Championships held from May 15-17. The announcement was made on Thursday, May 22.

Eastern Michigan University led the conference with a total of 25 athletes being recognized. The men’s team had 15 athletes on the list, while the women’s team contributed 10.

The EMU women’s team achieved its highest number of All-MAC nods since at least 2005, marking only the second time since then that a single team has posted double-digit all-conference honors. This achievement is comparable to the 2008 Akron Zips, who set a record for most points by a winning team at the MAC Outdoor Championships with 208.50.

The Eastern men’s team’s performance was notable, with 11 first-team student-athletes, the highest in the conference since Akron’s men placed 13 on the list in 2019. Their total of 15 all-conference nods is also significant, being the most since Akron’s total of 18 in 2019. For EMU’s men’s program, this is their best performance since at least the 2006 season.

To qualify for first-team recognition, an athlete needed to finish first in at least one event during the championships. A second-place finish qualified an athlete for second-team recognition.

A total of 15 MAC champions from Eastern Michigan were named to the first team. On the men’s side, Bamidele Ajayi (4x400m), Shelton Bass (4x100m, 4x400m), Mill Coleman III (4x100m), Lachlan Cornelius (800m), George Gage (4x100m), Solomon King (4x100m), Jake McEachern (hammer throw), Olawole Olanrewaju (4x400m), Tajay Roberts (4x400m), Gabe Singh (400m hurdles), and Kian Wiles (1500m) were honored.

For Eastern’s women, Demetria Henderson (4x400m), Sofia Ivanko (10,000m), Josephine Oloye (4x400m), and Saraiah Walkes (100m, 200m, 4x400m) earned first-team recognition.

Eastern’s women also led with five second-team accolades: Alimot Alowonle (4x100m), Ajah Arscott (4x100m), Kyra Buffen (triple jump), Jaeden Garraway(4x100m), and Micah Martin (high jump).

From the men’s side earning second-team distinction were Brendan Hill (high jump), Samuel Jeffery(decathlon), Drew Knieper(javelin), and Formula Thompson(triple jump).

Next up for qualifying Eagles is participation in the NCAA East Prelims hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville from May 28-31.
