Eastern Michigan University (EMU) celebrates the achievements of two of its tennis players, Daniella Shved and Prerna Vichare, who have been recognized in the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) teams for the 2025 season. The announcement from the league on April 23 highlighted Shved’s inclusion in the All-MAC First Team for the third year in a row. Vichare, on the other hand, secured a spot on the All-MAC Second Team, marking her second recognition.

Daniella Shved, hailing from Holon, Israel, showcased her skill in singles with 14 victories, including 10 in dual action and seven against her MAC counterparts. She prominently played at No. 1 singles and occasionally at No. 2, contributing significantly to her team’s wins. Shved’s performance in doubles was equally commendable, where she also contributed to securing critical points for her team.

Prerna Vichare, from Mumbai, India, ended her senior season with a 12-5 record in singles, performing well across various positions but mostly excelling at No. 3. Her doubles play was noteworthy, boasting a 17-7 tally. Vichare’s career includes an impressive milestone of 100 combined wins, ranking her 19th in program history.

These recognitions add to the legacy of EMU’s tennis program, contributing to a historical total of 57 All-MAC honors since 1981. Shved’s and Vichare’s achievements underline their dedication and skill, further cementing EMU’s competitive presence in MAC tennis history.

The awards emerged from coaching votes across the league. In addition to individual accolades, other recognitions in the MAC include Ricardo Rosas of Miami as Coach of the Year, Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek also from Miami as Player of the Year, and Lola Glantz of Western Michigan who received the sportsmanship award.
