The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) gymnastics team will participate in the NCAA Regional in Salt Lake City, Utah, on April 2, with senior Raisa Boris competing in the all-around and sophomore Abby Brushwood on the floor. The event will take place in McGuirk Arena and will be hosted by the University of Utah.

The meet will be available to watch on ESPN+, with additional live results accessible through the EMU gymnastics schedule page on EMUEagles.com.

Sophomore Abby Brushwood has shown a consistent performance in the floor exercise, highlighted by a career-high score of 9.900 on February 27. She has maintained scores of 9.800 or higher in ten consecutive meets, demonstrating substantial improvement over the season.

Senior Raisa Boris achieved her season-best all-around score of 39.300 on February 27, which ties for the 19th-best mark in the program’s history. Her performance included a 9.875 on both the beam and floor, alongside a season-high 9.800 on the vault.

“In 2024, Boris collected the MAC Gymnast of the Week honors four times and twice this season,” an assertion from the original text states. Boris also contributed to a notable team score of 196.450 against Kent State, which is the third-highest in EMU history. She was awarded the MAC Gymnast of the Year and the Senior Gymnast of the Year titles for the 2025 season, becoming the fourth different Eagle to receive the overall honor and the seventh to earn the Senior Gymnast title.

Further demonstrating her capabilities, Boris earned her highest career all-around score of 39.525 on March 3, 2024, claiming the second spot in EMU’s program history.

The EMU gymnastics team continues its tradition of sending athletes to the NCAA Regionals, including Boris, Ella Chemotti (Beam), and Alana Fisher (Vault) in 2024. Since 2018, at least one Eagle gymnast has qualified for the NCAA Regionals each season, except during the 2020 pandemic.

In recognition of performance excellence, Raisa Boris (First Team, Beam), Alana Fisher (Second Team, Beam), and Kyrie Lowe (Second Team, Bars) were named All-MAC, marking the first trio of Eagles to earn the distinction since 2015.

The upcoming NCAA Championships will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, from April 17-19.
